Qualifying-Saturday

SEP  (11.50 index)
Well, we ran three rounds of qualifying and still could not qualify for the field of 32 bikes out of 45.  The bike was just running too fast (1st round-10.691, 2nd round-11.386, 3rd round-11.841) and could not get it to slow down enough to make the cut of 11.689.

SE (10.90 index)

What a weekend!!!!
It was a cold weekend which means the bikes are going to run very fast.  It was the first time that we did not make the field in the SEP (11.50 index) class.  This wasn't too bad of a problem but we use this class to test the bike to see how it is running in the morning.

We qualified 13th in the SE (10.90 index) which wasn't bad but didn't help in getting us any more points in the chase for the Eastern Championship this weekend between Scotty Hooper, Bill Rowe Jr. and Dean.  Our only hope was that Scotty and Bill would go out early in the day.

First round on Sunday Eliminations was the current points leader, Donnie Huffman, no problem.  They both broke out but Dean had the hole shot win at the tree.

2nd round was JP who we knew could not run the number and just needed to keep the wheel ahead of him for the win.

3rd round was Dennis who Dean got the hole shot again at the tree, pushing Dennis out the door at the finish line for the win.

4th round was Bill Rowe Jr., what a race.  He is always one of our most toughest competators and it was the closest race of the day for us but after both broke out, Dean was just less enough of a break-out to take the win and go on to the finals.

5th round was not easy either.  Hoover had been running good all day and Dean knew he just need to go at it and Git-R-Done.  He did showing he could run the number with a perfect 10.90 to take the win home for Team Miller Motors!!!!!!
Lastly, we would like to say it was a great weekend for our team, Team Miller Motors.  Dean might not have gotten the Eastern Championship, but did get the win and with one more race in Las Vegas, could come home as the SE National Runner-Up.

Our team mate, Larry Maynhart, made it to the finals to take runner-up in the Super Sport class, which he is chasing the Championship for against Julia Holliday, and we think after this weekend has put him in the points lead.

We had Dale Miller there this weekend to help the guys as well as Jason (from Milan Dragway) to spot them at the line and was glad for all there help they did over the weekend.

We also want to shout out, Congrats,  to Kevin & Betty from Winters Racing who will be getting married, Oct. 20.
