Qualifying-SEP & SE 6th place
Dean got the win first round in both SEP and SE class this morning. (Bouns note-Bill Rowe who was in second place in the SE class has gone out in first round. This will give Donnie Huffman the championship in the class and it will also give Dean the chance at runner-up. Dean will have to make it to the finals today in order to be runner-up in the nation in the SE class. Scotty Hooper who is currently in 4th place will have to go all the way and win today in SE in order for him to be runner-up. After our first win this morning, Dean will next race Scotty Hooper by luck of the draw in next round.
Briefly for now, Dean went out against Scotty Hooper in what I would say was great drag racing. Scotty has been a great competator all year and did it again at the tree against Dean to take the win from us with an .006 light to Dean .031 light.
Qualifying-SS 18th place
Larry is currently first in the nation coming into this race with 6th points over Julia Holliday. Julia runs first and wins her round to advance on to the next round. Larry giving us an intense first round this morning, cutting a perfect .000 light, Larry bogged and we had thought it was over, but his competator not realizing what has happened ran hard to the finish line, never looking back, and broke-out (runs to fast) giving Larry the win!!!!
Larry went up against Elanor Walker and after putting a new clutch in his bike but, just did have it in the bike to take the win from Elanor. Julia had won her race and sat watching to see what was going to happen. With Larry's lose on this race, this gave Julia the Championship in Super Sport this year.
Just wait till next year. Gainsville, FL in March will be here before we know it and this winter will be a time for changes for Team Miller Motors so watch out for us, we are going to be a force to recken with.
