**2nd round in SEP, Dean would match up against Charlie Walker.  I had found out later that Dean had talked with Charlie about running each other and Charlie asked what Dean was going to run in the 2nd round and Dean had told him that "I'm going to run what ever your'e going to run" and so they paired up to run 2nd round together and Dean kept his promise of running what ever Charlie was going to.
3rd rouond SEP Dean would match up against Larry Fore who jumped into the class in the last round from the V-Rod class.  Dean would run and still be too fast for the day but knew on race day it would be wheel racing that would get him to the finals in this class.

1st round in SE he ran against Charlie again and ended up being the #1 Qualifier. Dean knew this number would not last the day but what a great way to start off the day.
2nd round Dean oud run against Paul Garibald dropping Dean to the 5th qualifying spot.  There were only 12 bike entered by the 2nd roung in this class and other racers jumped in the class that normally run other classes hoping that they might have a chance in this class if they could slow their bikes down.
3rd round was going to be the last run of the day for Dean and he had to give it his all.  Bill Row Jr who is currently #2 in the national points and who also made the long trip out to Seattle goit in line to qualify.  Dean wanted to take this last pass of the day and run Bill.  After 2nd round Dean was qualified 5th and Bill was qualified 6th and this wold put them on opposite sides fo the ladder for Sunday and Dean wanted to make it happenso he would race Bill 1st round and take him out to help increse his points lead against him.  So, on last round of qualifying in SE class Dean paired up with Bill.  Dean and Bill would run down the track together with Dean taking the strip with a 10.979 and Bill with a 10.981.  They both would sty in the same qualifying spots and be on opposite sides of the ladder.  Dean was on the side that had the BYE's this time though not Bill.  Bill would have to work for it and go up against some tough competition on Sunday to meet Dean in the finals.
Sunday, "Rain, Rain, Go away and come back another day" but that was not what was meant to be.  We had all been watching the weather and it was supposed to be a was on Sunday and after traveling this far and having high hopes, you could only pray for the best.  The All Harley Drag Racing Association had been patiently waiting all day for the break in the rain.  The Pacific Raceway does not have any track drier (sounds silly to me, sicne all it does in Seattle is rain) and this would take them 3-4 hours to dry the track off after it had rained last.  Remember ther is a curfew in Seattle that does not allow any noise in the area before 9:00am and then after 5:30pm.  It took us two hours to complete a round of qualifying on Saturday so in order to get a complete round of elimination in on Sunday in order for it to be called a national event we would have to start racing by 1:30pm.  So after long thought The All Harley Drag Racing Association had to call the event due to race.  Eveyone got paid for first rounds in there class and then hit the road for the long ride home.

"What are you doin' do" as the team says once in ahile.  You just can't beat Mother Nature, she is the one who went the most rounds this weekend.  As soon as Dean got his bike loaded and heading back home with Brian's Harley Davidson's rig we decided to go to the Space Needle in town and sight see and wouldn't you believe it, it got sunny out.  It did rain again a little later in the day but it was just a catch 22 that we would have to live with.  We had dinner at Elliott's on the dock and had a wonderful night together seeing that we don't get much time during the race day to see each other with him racing and me working in the tower.

Our next race will be August 11-12 in Bristol, TN.  We actually get to take a month off this summer to spend some time with our family and work around the house.  Dean is still going for that "4th win in a row" in Bristol since Seattle was not considered a race and he is still
#1 in the National Points in SE and #1 in the Eastern Division also in SE class.

Stay tuned the season is only half way through and watch a champion be made.
