What a weekend!!!  We got in on Thurday afternoon to nice warm sunshine.  Had to get some shorts out it was so nice.

But, it didn't last.  It rained all day Friday not allowing us to get the one round of qualifing in that we were supposed to do.  Sat it also was raining in the morning and then let up in the evening to allow the Sportsman classes to get a round of qualifing in.  The Pro's would just have to wait till Sunday and race what they had right off the trailer with no testing.

Sunday the sun came out, not warming up like we wanted but it was race day and that is what we had been waiting for these past three months.

As you know, I am now working in the Tower doing the Qualifing and Class Results on the AHDRA Live Race Updates on their website.  It is a dream job but will keep me in the tower all weekend busy as a bee.  I missed being out with the team more than I thought but I get to still see them racing and can still communicate with them if they need me so that works out.

Dean's  first round on Saturday during qualifying in ET was a rough one.  If there was something he could do wrong he did it on that run.  The bike was just not running that great though.  So then the next round in SEP he went out to run the bike out to see what it could do not knowing that he was not going to get another chance to make the field.  Then in SE, he cuts a better light and has a great round by qualifying in 5th place.  On Sunday, the bike was running great.  ET showed that with it running in th 10.8's but this had him breaking out on the run, not making the next round.  In SE against Roberta, she didn't know he even red lighted when they were racing and with the red light it gave her the race.  The bike was tuned on Sunday and we just don't know how fast and what the numbers could have been.

Dean had time then though to help our teammate Larry Maynhart who is a
WINNER in the Super Sport class and made it to the Semi-Finals in V-Rod.
Great job Larry!!!!!!
Larry on the other hand seems to be one of the luckiest racers I know.  Unlike Dean he works better when there seems to be problems.  He had some oil line problems and at times got a little stressed without me in the staging lanes to air him up or change his plates but Dean got in the swing of it to get this done and our friends Ed and Red were there to also lend the guys a hand.  Larry  proved having the #2 plate that he was going to be a force to recken with this year with his win.

Thanks for checking us out.
